Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons
As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,541 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.
On August 29 at Rogers SP, a vehicle was seen on facility grounds along with 2 individuals.
A search found civilians Richard Wolfe and Joseph Reynolds with marijuana and tobacco in their vehicle. Both individuals were arrested and transported to the Tattnall County Jail.
On August 29 at Calhoun State Prison, a traffic stop was conducted near the facility. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Kistaerin Stone, Mason Johnson, Jessy Keene, Otis Gravitte, and Kistino Herrera. A search of their vehicle found bottles of unknown contraband.
All five suspects were arrested and transported to the Calhoun County Jail.
On August 28 at Wilcox State Prison, an individual was seen near the facility. A search found two individuals and the following contraband: cellphones, phone chargers, alcohol, tobacco, earbuds, rolling papers, and lighters. Civilians Shannon Williams and Kwame White were both arrested and transported to the Wilcox County Jail.
On August 25 at Dodge State Prison, a traffic stop was conducted near the facility. Three individuals were found with contraband. All three individuals were arrested and transported to the Dodge County Jail.
