Department Corrections Field Operations Manager Assumes New Role

Thomas Named Vice Chair of County & Municipal Probation Advisory Council
Atlanta - On August 15, 2013, Ms. Sandra Stribling-Thomas, Field Operations Manager, Georgia Department of Corrections, was elected as vice chairperson for the County and Municipal Probation Advisory Council (CMPAC). As vice chairperson, Ms. Thomas will represent the eleven-member Council in dealings with state agencies and the media, preside over the Council's quarterly meetings, name committees, and call meetings in the absence of the chairperson.
"Ms. Thomas has been a dedicated member of the CMPAC board. We look forward to her year of leadership," said Ms. Shevondah Fields, CMPAC Staff Director.
The County and Municipal Probation Advisory Council ensures uniform professional standards and agreements are maintained by private and governmental probation supervision entities providing misdemeanor probation services.
Ms. Thomas has served on the CMPAC board for one year. She began her career as a probation officer in 1991; she now serves as the Probation Field Operations Manager (FOM) for the Northeast area of the state.
