Execution Date Set for Lee County Murderer

Warren Lee Hill to be executed on Monday, July 15
Forsyth - The Lee County Superior Court has ordered the execution of convicted murderer Warren Lee Hill. The court ordered the Georgia Department of Corrections to carry out the execution on a date between July 13-20, 2013. Commissioner Brian Owens has set the date for July 15, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7 p.m.
Hill was convicted in 1991 for the murder of Joseph Handspike. If executed, Hill will be the 31st inmate put to death by lethal injection.
